Hi,
I just started using version 2.1.4 and I noticed that when I disable all my servers, to pause downloading, the article download queu is deleted. This never happened before with other versions. Is this a bug, or a new feature (if so, how do I disable it).
cheers,
trax

it is the new behaviour.
instead of disabling all servers you need to set the total number of tasks to zero in properties->tasks.
disabing the server now disengages all its tasks. before those were only header tasks cancelled.
the main problem was if you disable a server and article tasks continue to hang there when there are errors on the rest of the servers (e.g. few parts are missing so you get "no such article").
before it was just something hanging in the articles pane, but after introducing unpack it means the download may be repairable but repair will be delayed because the server is disabled. i could easily concoct something like suspending server in addition to disabling it, but it would mean adding more options.
the common complaint was someone disables a server which he doesn't need at all (e.g. expired account) then there are hung tasks and the impression is the tasks are just hung there without completion.
i will add a confirmation prompt when disabling a server or server subset will affect the article queue. there is already a warning in place when you try to mark for download and all servers are disabled.

in v2.2 i made all customizable with old behaviour is an option, but also in v2.2 unpack overrides disabled servers when download is repairable which wasn't the case in the past.
