2 Q: Autosave queue list and Autodownload of PAR files ?

Hi Alex,
thanks for your fantastic innovation in latest version of usenet explorer.
I have 2 question for you:

1) The other day I had a crash while downloading with UE. when I restarted my PC, UE lost all the task queue. There is a way to autosave queue ?
I mean something automatic, not suspend and save queue list or exit from UE.

2) In the latest version of UE (2.2) when I select related headers (ALT+S) it select everythings (RAR and PAR), but when I try to auto-download (ALT+D) it start downloading only RAR files, and I have to re-select manually the PAR files and start download them later.
There's a settings to change this behaviour and auto-download all selected files (RAR+PAR) ?

bye
Manuel

In menu Edit->Properties->General->Save queue.

That is connected to the new unpack feature, UE will automatically download needed .Par2 files after other files are downloadad, I guess you need to disable the Unpack autoadd if you want to download all .par2 files, look in the Save/Unpack tab in properties.

I have disabled the autoadd flag under unpack, but still doesn't save PAR2 file. Any other flag I could check ?

thanks

Did you try to disable "Auto" in Save/Unpack settings? other then that I don't know.

Yes, I've disable AUTO with all related field in SAVE/unpack but it's the same. Still it doesn't download the PAR2 files, only the rar.
I have to reselect manually only the PAR2 files and then it download it, but it's pretty uncomfortable doing it in that manner.

I did a test disabling "Auto add" and UE downloaded All marked files happily, so I believe your problem is not Unpack related.

When you mark the files for download are the par2 files listed in the article queue? if so do they have a pause symbol or something?

There are some settings in the Par2 menu that could prevent par2 files to download, do you have anything checked there?

Thanks for your help, finally I found it !!!
In Par2 menu was checked the option "Mark limited volume of par2 for download".
I unchecked it and now it works !

The strange thing is that I don't have the problem since some times ago when I have upgraded to 2.2. It's possible that a version upgrade checked this option automatically ?

thanks

No idea, it has not been checked for me and I don't use that setting, but I might have had it checked before the Unpack feature was added, maybe Alex knows better.

i don't quite understand what flags are mentioned, but if you uncheck auto add flag you revert the program to v1.x modus operandi, no saved files are added into unpack pane it means unpack is completely disabled.

it is why even when you uncheck "auto", "auto add" still remains enabled, so at least the saved files are tracked so you can later to process saved files without loading them into UE manually.

When Lordcray was not able to download all par2 files with the other files I assumed it was the new Unpack feature stopping them, but it turned out to be

ok, i need to arrange something and running around like crazy until monday after that all will be back to normal or rather should be even better, so not quite in sync, in short it is resolved.

the mark limited volume of par2 files for download is unchecked by default, so it had to be checked manually at some point (but probably even in v1.x) to interfere.

Quickpar is deleting the PAR files after it retrieves the file, also RAR will do the same.....

Uncheck the two settings in Options->File Deletion.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Do you mean UE?
