I would love to see 2 extra buttons in the xpat search window, one button that can be enabled to automatically download all scant and found headers based on the earch string
And one browse button in where you select to copy these downloaded header to.
This only applies to the xpat search group which was selected to do this behaviour. This save me a lot of time to select a filter. and it also makes sence cause you specifically give newspro caommands to find these headers in this xpat search.
REQ: Autodownload and save found headers in xpat searchbox
in properties->watch in the first time select newsgroup, add all.flt filter and set it up.
with the subsequent groups, in properties->watch press 'copy' on the previous group, then select the new group and press 'paste' then maybe you need to check 'watch' and 'save' to the right, so it is only a few clicks.

another, even faster way is to define the 'new newsgroup' entry in properties->watch, add the 'all.flt' filter, but set 'get headers' 'save' and 'watch' to 'off'.
for newly subscribed newsgroups it will be the setting, to propagate it to already existing newsgroups - only once - just press 'copy' (when 'new newsgroup' selected), then select the newsgroups and press 'paste'
when you need it just select the newsgroup in question and check 'save' and 'watch' before downloading headers.
filtering system may be revised but it rather of non-primary importance from the development point of view, since it can be changed at any moment being independent from other code.
