all of the sudden I can't save anything

I keep getting those red circles with white x's. Does anyone know if there is a problem?

Let me clarify. My internet connection is up, i can download files with another newsreader I used to use, I can search okay. But anytime I try to download anything I get those little red circles. can anyone give me any clue as to what might be wrong and what I can do about it?

Have you checked UEs Task manager for error messages?

I shut down UE and rebooted and now it works fine. I'd still like to figure out what went wrong, but it's working now so I won't worry.

is it in the search results view?

it means an error when getting message-ids or any other error.

e.g. when you invoke download&save, all works ok, when browse for folder dialog appears it has already message-ids, but if you press "cancel" instead of selecting the directory it will count it as an error and will show those red circles with red x mark. otherwise i don't remember an occasion i saw that.

after restart did it work with exactly the same searches? could be a file locked because of antivirus, UE is using a temporary file to transfer data from worker threads to the main GUI thread.
