I would like to make a suggestion for a future enhancement. It would be convenient to be able to resort the article download queue by clicking on any of the column headers in the queue.

You can use edit menu->queued instead, to rearrange the queue select the headers and from the context menu invoke advanced->downloaad with priority, it will preserve the save destination folder.

The task manager code is optimized for low CPU usage, the task manager tabs are rather close to internal representation, when very large download queue maybe there will be somewhat higher CPU usage when displaying queued in newsgroup view, especially when using on an old slow computer.
