Hi

I m using the giganews newsgroup.
I m using UE for years now
Bit since 1 month and half now, despite having reinstalled it several time, clean headers and co, no way to use it.
I can run a search. As soon as I start a download it got frozen on "loading import" ... frozen to a point that I can not cancel or kill the program but obliged to finally reboot the PC.

Anyidea what I can do to fix this ?

Maybe it doesn't have permission to access the disk?

Can you enter newsgroup or server and it saves settings?

If you just open the Import group it will open it or will hang?

If it saves settings, try to uninstall antivirus and see if it will be working then, UE is using memory mapped files for temporary database maybe something corrupts the system when using this method, settings are just kept in memory.

Did you try to run it on another computer?
