filter editor

I would like to have another filter editor.

I would like to start that editor, select a filter from the list and make
changes I want, and then save it again. Now - at least to my knowledge - I can only make a filter and save it. But then i cannot select the filter again from a list in order to change it. Or i am doing something wrong.

Another change I would like is to have the ability to make a new filter, without having to put the cursor on the name of a newsgroup. I would first make the filter and then decide which newsgroups should use it.

And also maybe make the filter be able to be opened by notepad, and changed in notepad or another editor.

1. try the button open in the filter editor

2. i always make a filter first and apply it later to a newsgroup.
use the button filtereditor

Its ok, np has so many options that is sometimes difficult to understand how things works.
