I read the info about Posting articles - multiple servers, associated identities and got a little confused.

What I would like to do is post to the same group on 2 different news servers at the same time?

Can this be done with news pro.

I don't think this can be done with NP. But, if you post to one server, wouldn't that post be available on any other server that carries the newsgroup (in theory, anyway :? )?

Yeah, I don't think you want to do that. In theory, if you do that you will end up with duplicate posts of the same thing all over. When you post to a server, it propagates it to servers it has feeds to, and they do the same, until it is theorectically everywhere.

Maybe what you are trying to do is maximize posting tasks, by starting a large binary and using 2 or several servers to post the whole thing. Maybe if the post was allready split into parts, you can start part 1 on one server, and part 2 on a different server, etc.

In wich case it's better and easier to use a specialist Postprogram like PowerPost.....
