Suggestion to enhance the "disable server" feature

Post by griffpa »

A great enhancement would allow an additional server option to enable it only for header download, but not for article posts. As it is now, it's all or nothing with the disable/enable feature.

I use one server for headers and article fills. Due to download limits, I normally keep it disabled and will only enable it to get fills. However, since it's my primary header server, I have to enable the server every time i want to get new headers, then disable it again.

He doesn't mean "Supress get Headers"

He means an option "Supress get Bodys"....

However, if you want to use it only for fill's why don't you just give it the lowest priority?

yes i had added the 'don't download bodies' feature, it is what i'm talking about

the 'suppress' word has been replaced with more clear 'don't'

There is a simpler way. Just set all other servers to a higher priority and strict and the "good" server will only be touched when absolutely necessary for a fill.
