Is there any reason for me to download 2 movies using .nzb files that show no incompletes, only to have 7 gig of .npr files in my data folder and not a single complete file in my downloads folder? Is there any way to recover these files?

You might complain to the poster, or your newsserver provider?

Aren't there any Par2 files to recover damaged files?

And you coul'd save you're incomplete's to your download folder?

Anyway, it's not a NewsPro problem as far as I can tell.....

If I save files to the Newspro Temp folder, will they be deleted when something else gets processed?
Cos I put some par2's in there but now they are gone.
And I haven't deleted them myself :( This could be what happened to the other files, as I may have saved them to there. But still not sure why the 7 gig of npr files.

Make sure that "Autoclear temp directory" is unchecked under Properties>General.

Cheers, so how do I go about re-downloading the movies? If I reload the nzb file, it knows I've already got these files and ignores the request. How do I clear the "already downloaded" list?

There are occasionally some bad posts that instead of using [xx/xx] first for a filecounter, have (xx/xx) first as a segment counter in addition to (xx/xx) 2nd for the file counter. Most newsreaders won't combine those. It's possible to save source for each segment and combine them by hand (and it works) but that might not be worth the effort.

I know if you Reset Newsgroup for the #~Import group that it clears the way or, if the headers were deleted but not purged, showing deleted headers brings the headers back to view.

Haha, I was assuming that you had used Save Attachments, on the off-chance that you didn't... Try that after showing the deleted headers and/or find out where they were saved to.

If you don't delete the bodies, they remain as .npr files.

Take a look in this thread: http://www.netwu.com/newspro/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=725

Then download the latest (registered users only) in-between version: http://www.netwu.com/newspro/npr3745.zip

and you're ready to go :D

if you saw file as complete in the newspro header list is ok.

better not to save files in the newspro temp folder since newspro may delete files there, use any other folder.

you can save incompletes, just if you are not sure you can recover the file don't delete headers/bodies, just mark them read instead, e.g. make newspro ask whether to delete or not (settings are in edit menu->properties->geleral, saving attachments).

the .npr files you see unless you left bodies intentionally - incompletes which have the rest of parts without bodies available too. if a partial is truly incomplete (doesn't have some parts at all - with bodies or not) - there is an option in the partial menu, which guides newspro to delete such partials from time to time (once in 10 days) or you can disable it and invoke the option manually, see the menu.
