AVAST anti-virus flags UE.EXE

Avast File System Shield quarantines UE.exe when unzipping, when executing, and when opening a downloaded NZB.
I have had malware problems recently and this may be related to the actions taken to clear them up.
Avast tells me:
Object: UE.EXE
Infection: FileRepMetagen(DRP)
Proces: Explorer.EXE
It then deletes UE.EXE from the installation directory.
I have used UE for years with no problems. I have tried deleting and reinstalling, but get the Avast action every time. If I disable File System Shield everything works properly.

I researched further and this is a false positive from Avast.
URL for discussion (another application, but it works for UE, too).

Try to use uncompressed executable, they are now available for both 32 and 64 bit versions.

is it 32 or 64 bit?
doublecheck UE.exe size to be sure you overwrote the compressed version, uncompressed 32 bit 4.56 MB, 64 bit - 7.78 MB, while compressed versions 1.52MB and 2.06MB respectively.
But if it is the FileRep error - I checked Avast description of the "threat" it appears they have a database of good and bad files, probably a previously unknown executable will be just listed as bad, so then all you need is to add it to Avast exclusion list as proposed in the solution above. I remember Norton had something like that first.

Maybe several users moved UE to the exclusion list and the Avast social networking feature recognized it as "known".
