Hi Alex -- There is a spammer who randomizes his Subject, Author name, domain, etc. but the Author name is always surrounded by carets like so:

I tried to make an Author/Begins With filter that contains just <<<, but this doesn't seem to work. Can I filter on this pattern somehow?

It looks like any filter would work, both quick filter or adding as separate filter.

I attached one as an example.

You can use it as kill filter, check for options in edit menu->properties->kill filters.

To open the filter editor edit menu->filter editor or use the toolbar button to the right of the filter combo box.
