Strange. I cannot seem to delete some of my headers.

I have deleted them. "enabled purging deleted headers", restarted NP and they still appear (in gray).

I have turned OFF "show deleted" headers.

I have marked them UNread first then deleted.

I have marked them NEW and then deleted.

But when I restart NP, they show up again!!!

any ideas?

If you deleted the headers in a filtered/group window you can try to delete them while you opened the group directly.

If that fails try to use the "optimize database access" option.

Most of the time one of these options solves it for me.

I tried both and it didn't help. My group is the "import" group and I didn't have any filters in place.

I tried the optimize database too - didn't work.
but thank you very much for your response.

it is very strange, try to reset the database or reset or delete the newsgroup.
