I tried this.
nntp1.usenetserver.com I set message-id direct and not to download headers (so I saw +NH). with nntp2.usenetserver.com i did not.
But still Newspro downloads headers from nntp1. Does this mean that nntp1 is not another server?

Still no word from usenetserver support...usually they are quite fast!

noone can make them run their servers properly

i think i posted this on another thread. But, aside from the connection issues they had recently, you can squeeze out 12 connections from usenetserver:
news.usenetserver.com 63.223.5.247 - 4 connections
nntp1.usenetserver.com 63.223.5.251 - 4 connections
nntp2.usernetnserver.com 63.223.5.246 - 4 connections
I was told this by their support team when I emailed them concerning their lowered number of connections from 6 to 4 during their server issues.
And just out of curiosity, I did an nslookup of the ip range of 241-255. Here's what resolves. I haven't tried to connect to any of them with my credentials (interesting how nslookup and ping return different results):
