I am interested in minimizing the bandwidth used to download headers from Newsfeeds by using the msg-id direct setting on some of the servers. I would like some suggestions on exactly how to set this up. Which servers do you pull headers from and which do you set msg-id direct? Do you use the strict setting? I have the Newsfeeds premium plus account.

Msg Id Direct and NewsFeeds
message-id direct doesn't depend on servers attached to a newsgroup.
so what you can do is to make all servers message-id direct and to use the most complete server on per newsgroup basis to download headers for the newsgroup (just detach the rest of servers from the newsgroup - expand the newsgroup, select them and invoke 'detach serers from the newsgroup above'), then you download headers only from one server (it can be different for different newsgroups) but all servers are used to download bodies.
