Search service
The indexing server setup is currently 14 years of continuous retention with picture groups still going back to 2008.
According to my information a decent usenet provider retention is typically 6-8 years and at most 10-14 years for some groups.
The older (almost certainly expired) headers are still archived, but not indexed, so they don't appear in search results.
