I have been getting search errors tonight.
'Search failed(8) a connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established'
Something wrong or is it just me?
EDIT: This morning its working again.

Re: Search Failed (5)
The same here for the last few weeks. An awful lot of time-outs after minutes. About one tenth of the searches give a result, so it is just pressing cancel/search after 5s without a response. It is just tonight that I am getting the too many users again. I think the time-outs are related to the late...

auto collections does not stick
I am probably doing something stupid, but since I did a clean install on my computer (2.2.1) auto collection is not selected when I start UE. I am pretty sure UE used to remember if it was selected before.
Am I missing something obvious?

Feature request: finished tasks in unpack
I really love the new unpack feature. Glad it came just before I had to renew my license. I also like I now have a way of quickly going from a download task to the folder it is being saved in (space on the task in the unpack task list), as I use several download folders. Would it be possible to leav...

Finish all task waits for paused tasks
First a big thanks to Alex. I love the built in search function and the indexing service. It even finds more than Usenetjunkie. :D I really like the 'pause par2 file' option. Since I hardly ever need them, but do want them in my import group. However when I have (par2) tasks paused and select 'finis...

REQ: do not delete bodies for partial messages
When I use PAR2 I regularly download and save partial messages to see if I already have enough blocks. However, when I have 'delete bodies on save' selected, newspro will delete the downloaded bodies. This is somewhat annoying when it appears I do not have enough blocks and have to wait longer or us...

I have the same problem here. I tried it on three W2000 machines and one NT4 machine. None of them powers off, although other software, like Nero, can. I have had contact with Alex about two months ago. It seems the function that is used has the option to A. 'only shutdown windows' or B. 'shutdown w...

Alex Just one last comment before I let go (after all you are the boss here ;-) - several threads on the forum about 'ignore get header...' and settings per (XPAT) group are from people with free and pay servers that can not get the optimal configuration without having to change server options or de...

Feature REQ: Override suppress get headers
I currently use two servers. The server from my ISP with unlimited DL and high bandwidth and a free astraweb account with a 80MB/day limit. The astraweb server I only use to locate missing parts on my ISP's server. So I have suppress get headers on for the Astraweb server. Mostly I use XPAT groups a...
