I had to upgrade the forum software version, since it required older PHP versions which started creating problems.

Re: Filters - need help

Are those posts around 5 years old with .par2 and .rar files? Subject: fa01c6876b55165543bd6edd [23/32] - "fa01c6876b55165543bd6edd.sfv" yEnc (1/1) Newsgroups: alt.binaries.flowed,alt.binaries.swedish,alt.binaries.jph Then maybe to try * [{0-9}*/*] - \"* if it will select messages clo...

Re: NZB mismatches

I didn't read all the earlier replies, noticed them only now. Those segments in the screenshots above are message-ids which are random, need to rather look at the subject field vs the attachment name inside the article body, in the nzb the file name is in the square brackets, in the screenshots abov...

Re: NZB mismatches

Try to give me an example or a few examples (here or through email), so I could understand what exactly you mean then I could check it. In the past when most posts were usable directly I implemented some requests which now I understand were caused by obfuscation, I just didn't imagine it will become...

Re: NZB mismatches

The problem here I think there are a few come and go paid users' gathering websites who want you to download nzb exclusively along with the passwords from them only. Otherwise I don't see any significant number of posters left. Then posting programs like nyuu it appears have a lot of obfuscating opt...

Re: Search service - Connection unexpectedly closed by the s

It works now, why periods of inactivity are so long is not clear yet, it should be several seconds, but I also saw it longer on monitor couple of times, maybe around 5-7 minutes, it comes back by itself. From what I observed such outages are infrequent. One server is currently running on starlink, n...

Re: DNS error while searching

I've sent you PM with the details, let me know if you were able to solve it.

It only needs access to its search servers.

Re: Unable to export to NZB file after key renewal

The name is not used and can be any, just there is a name checksum in the key, so if to enter not the same name a registration error message box will result.

Re: Unable to export to NZB file after key renewal

As email changed, maybe it is still the old key active, try to reenter the latest key, it works fine here.

Re: Incomplete search results

if you mean older headers than 7 years - one server was not connected, i've connected it just now.

if it is newer i would need to check it.

Re: Search service is down

Is it working currently?

What is the error? The search appears to be running here. Did you try to reset the search configuration in edit menu->properties->search/import?

One server was down on Friday I think, but I adjusted the configuration and it was running on one server for about 12 hours.

Re: xpost?

It took some time, as I was handling the server side. You can download the version which handles this here: http://www.usenetexplorer.com/temp/ue582i.rar The option edit menu->articles->handle known obfuscated downloads should be checked, it is the default. If you encounter this again let me know.

Ah, it is wrong, I changed it when the other server was down.

Try again, it should work now.

Re: External access

It could be easier to improve the download function, if anything is needed.

The connection is encrypted with a part of the serial using the current search configuration which sometimes may change.

The search protocol also changed requiring a new client release, but not lately.
