Feature Request - Unrar / Save Queue Status

I like the feature when UE is minimized that you can hover over the icon and get the download stats. I'd like to see that extended to provide unrar and save queue stats if the downloading is complete. Currently, I will select a set of content to download and monitor using the current tool-tip pop-up...

Thanks for the advice guys. I forgot to mention that I had symantic anti virus installed and I did uninstall that (not the internet firewall). I'll let you all know what it finally turns out the problem was. It doesn't seem to be the router as I bypassed this so it's probably some third party driver...

UE causes my tcpip connection to hang

OK, I've spent a couple of days on this one before posting - trying all the things suggested on this board except a total rebuild of windows :? After about 5 - 7 minutes of retrieving headers my network connection gets corrupted / non responsive (no other network app can connect, even local router) ...

Long, Long ago I suggested that double-clicking the tab would close it
maxthon (IE2) uses this. alex was working on bigger things at the time
so I forgot about it and got used to the current way UE works.

my 2 cents

A slight comment on my vote: I feel that UE is far more reliable that NP not only due to the lack of crashes but also due to the reduced load it places on my machine. I can depend on UE doing what I want and doing it quickly. It has been many months since I've had UE crash or fail in any way. With N...

zonderling01,

When you create the group in the dropdown specify the groups as a "search" group.

Then right click the group and I believe there's an option to show XPAT dialog.
Set the groups and the search string wildmat just like in NP.

I have also paused UE and forgot to un-pause it. I think this would be a good feature and I like Josef's idea but will wait to see what alex is thinking about. I would keep the pause button add the tiny dropdown arrow (like in word or excel) that opens up the 10, 20 30 minute list. Actually 10 30 1h...

m0davis, I understand your frustration with losing your imports. Alex has many aspects of the program to worry about and you have every right to make your case that this should work differently. Alex does control what is implemented  so it makes sense to make your case in a polite and respectf...

Thanks for the quick response, I didn't see the latest status earlier today about the connections but I guess they are limited to some point on their side. I added the entries for nntp1 and nntp2 and I'll set them to 2 connections each but I did see some site that said that allowed up to 6 concurren...

Connection Refused 10061

Alex, Hope things are going well. I just subscribed to usenetserver.com and was configuring my newspro to take advantage of the extra server. I have usenetserver setup as the only server to download headers and the other ISP servers as direct with NH/NB. I should be able to get 4-6 concurrent connec...

Thanks alex,

Any way to know if it is a missing body or a garbled body?

I guess I can still download most of the parts and use the par2 files to assemble.

Thanks for the quick reply,

Erro Downloading - 20020 (Bad Message-Id)

Recently I have been getting the following error message sporatically when downloading message bodies:

NewsPro Error - Bad Message-Id in the retrieved article (20020)

I think this might be a server prob with COX but I wasn't sure.
