How can I config a server to d/l headers only but not bodies?(because for this server headers are not count toward the daily limit)?

Hi, I suppose u're using some msg-id features.
Have u tried to play with server priorities?
I mean I suggest placing ur headers'server at the lowest priority and make sure the first server above it has the strict priority enable.
Maybe there's another way to do it , but erh I'm using that kinda way :)

My experience of playing with priority is that even if the priority of a server is set to low, it will eventually be kicked in if its speed is fast.
Unfortunately the one I want to limit its download to header only is a very fast one.

when you set the server priority low - mark the rest of higher server priorities strict. then the server will be used only if all else failed - all retries on all servers. also optionally uncheck properties->general-> 'ignore priorities of maxed servers' so newspro will wait until they are available and won't switch to the low priority server.

I 'd tried to set strict priority. It did reduce the amount of downloaded bodies from the server in question, but still cannot restrict it download to header only. Anyway this is a step foward , thanks.

A bit messy but it works

Put the server at the lowest priority as Alex suggested.

Exceeding download limits doesn't seem to stop "get new headers"
(Alex please comment if I'm wrong)
Turn the download consol on, if its not already on.
Download 1 body from the server you want to get only headers from.

Look at the consol, you should get something like
success<mp3-west.newsfeeds.com . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Open properties -> general
At the bottom "Exceeding download limit (boolean wild match) change to
download*limit|success<mp3-west.newsfeeds.com
change suspend server for 20 min to whatever, 6000 mins is 100 hours

Now mp3-west.newsfeeds.com makes 1 (successfull) request every 100 hours and only after all retries on all servers.

Thank Pegleg for the suggestion.
It is not entirely what I asked for (since I have do the "dummy" download everytime I start the program, it is a useful workaround.
