XPAT search & Bandwidth usage

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me if an XPAT search will drain my usage limit on my cable account? From what I understand it searches all headers server side rather than downloading them all and then searching (like binary boy) so therefore it would not use much of my GB usage limit....

Am I correct?

Oh, and anyone know how it uses up your newsgroup account download limit?

xpat search doesn't consume significant bandwidth, newpsro sends a pattern and server returns results, so the consumed bandwidth is about

( pattern length * number of newsgroups to search ) + returned results
