i got a flu (doesn't look like a bird flu

), so right now the work output is around zero and i have to wait until it will get better
there is some material for release but also changes are needed (the current implementation of one feature is not exactly what i want).

because you have the flu, would a

be more appropriate?
With this virus Mcafee probably can't help you, but i wish you strength.

I assume you speak of the "express" feature?
I personaly would rather the express feature had a check box in properties to make it the default action for all saved downloads.
Ctrl & D would make save to express folder automatic.
May your flu recovery be speedy!!

or maybe a popup that gives an area in which one i can type in the foldername.
Sometimes the search exists of a strange combination of characters, because usually the real names of movies or games are not displayed for obvious reasons. Then also the folders get strange names, and then it is later hard to figure out what is exactly in the folders.
So if a popup occurs with an option to type in the wanted foldername, then it will be much clearer.

I agree with Bassie (although this might not be the thread to post that

). Just give a Popup to type in the folder name and automate all the other stuff.
Get well soon Alex!

How about this for the express folder....
A pop up window with the header name already pasted in the entry field...
Then it can be edited or changed at the user's discretion!!
Now that would be nice!

I'd rather my express download to be non-prompting since I'd like it to be "express"

I'd like to see it choosable. For people like me who want to "clean" the headername before using at as i foldername.
Others may like to have it working without user intervention.

currently i'm in the process of the preparing the next release.
i made some hack of the standard windows browse for folder dialog, need a little more time before releasing it officially (in part managed to solve the windows "new folder" bug for most cases (at least it can be dealt with) but it is like accessing controls which are not supposed to be accessed directly, it seems noone resorted to something like that before).

i'm working on some server optimization, i'll resume work on the client side around the first week of january.

ok v1.2.2 appears to address all known issues.
i found some issues with some microsoft functions, i mean slowness, it was addressed on the server side, related functions are also now in the client since server&client are using common libraries, there are few suspicious functions left i'll check them too.

i checked bug reports, it seems v1.2.2 is running clean.
after additional tests the functions i mentioned don't appear to be an immediate concern, and as to the the issues i noticed and handled yesterday they were mostly affecting server start time and search requests processing time (they were ok but the faster the better).
so as to this batch of work (just it was planned to be 1.2 on december, 20 instead of v1.2.2 now) the work seems to be completed.
the server retention is a different issue, one computer will be available soon (now it is running on a test computer with limited RAM) and then we can double retention with a second computer, hopefully we'll get away with the cheap hardware solution.
