I looked for this but couldn't find it among the feature requests.

It would be nice to have a feature to autopause par files except the first one (.par2 or .par). That way, I can use the .par to verify what I need and continue to download how much i need from the queue without downloading all PAR2 files the first time... save some time and bandwidth.

the further development is not clear yet (how deep a dive i can afford).

is it not possible to estimate completeness and then to choose a reasonable small number of par2 files so you most probably won't need to download more par2 files at a later stage?

then if it is not enough if newsgroup is still open to find remaining files in the global view or in the newsgroup.

yeah, that's certainly possible which is what I do now. I'm just lazy either way, im perfectly happy with how it is now.

there was some other request related to article queue, so since i'm there i'll also implement the pausing par2 option, several other users asked for this as well, anyway it is fast add (but just one toolbar button mapped from the tasks menu entry without engaging properties, let us not make it too complicated).
