Filtering the suggested folder name

Alex, could you look into the suggested folder name part? Some people have the habit to draw attention to their posts by inserting many colon (:) characters into the subject line. If such a line is used to suggest a folder name, the colons are replaced by spaces. More than one consecutive space is not seen as a valid folder name by Windows, and automatic saving does not take place to such a folder.
I take it that other characters in the subject behave the same. Can you filter these out perhaps? Thanks.

can you give an example, maybe to post a small file to alt.binaries.test? in the middle several spaces look like ok, otherwise the program should trim the subject, if it doesn't i could fix it given the sample and the place where it happens.
i'm just trying now to concentrate on another topic

Hm, maybe I was too fast! I just tried one of the same set of posts, and it was OK.
I think there was something else the matter! Sorry, just forget about it

in the next version i'll remove spaces from the beginning and consequent spaces in the middle of the subject part of the directory name although windows takes them as they are now as well.

Thanks.
Yes I know, I was confused by something else that apparently blocked saving the downloaded bodies to a folder with a name containing many consecutive spaces. They did save OK on a comparable occasion!
