Newshosting and connectivity issues

Post by MrEman »

New problem with Newshosting for 4 days now...
Very odd collection of headers...... UE ver 2.2

When I connect to unlimited.newshosting.com port:119
I get many connection "retries" then when it does connect I get very slow connection of about 400KB/s
(I usually get 1 MB/steady and trouble free)
If I let this poor connection run >>>I will eventually lose all connectivity to the internet???? Not sure why....

But my LAN connection is still perfectly fine??? Very odd!!!!
I need to reboot my machine in order to regain internet access.
I have done rebooting of my router and modem.......no change

Any ideas??? Is this my local problem or Newshosting?

Nothing else I do causes this. My system will be perfect for days, until I get this poor connection with news.newshosting.com

I am now connected to news.ams.newshosting.com and that works fine

i hope they don't read it, it is a state secret :)

you can switch instead to www.ngroups.net they have sale right now, as ngroups are cheaper than newshosting, but the feed is from the same server farm and in addition you get european server to complement the bandwidth, at least you can try them out and then switch if you are sure the speed is the same.

we are all lucky giganews hasn't bought yet UNS NH and co. then there will be almost absolute monopoly, something like usenet napster :)

Wow!!!

Tried your suggestion of using Ngroups.net

I had been wondering about SSL
They offer it as part of there base Unlimited plan

I tried a header download with SSL for the first time and UE said it was done in just seconds! (usually takes about 10 minutes without SSL)

Excelent! And cheap too!

Now........ lets check downloads!
