new or never before noticed behavior

Hi Alex I just noticed that when I goto a newsgroup download headers and then drop down the folder to show the servers that are being checked for that newsgroup that some of the servers have a "-" next to the server name. Like "news.globalreach.net [-2405]" . What does that indicate or mean?

This is means the server article counters got negative.

NewsPro maintains the counters independently but they are synchronized with the datagbase operation so normally it doesn't happen.

You need file menu->reset database to fix that or just ignore this.

If you did something unconventional to the database (e.g. copying some database files manually) or saving reg.dat failed for some reason on newspro exit it could cause the problem (counters are kept in reg.dat in the newspro database 'Data' directory).
