How do I cancel a binary post that I made?
The post uploaded multiple parts, multiple times, with different line lengths. I want to get rid of it on the posting server and start over.
What is the option "new message per attachment" ???

there is a cancel command but in practical terms many servers don't respect it (all commercial servers?) since it can be easily faked, so newspro doesn't support it (for binary posts it possibly means hundreds of messages). better post a short message about the problem (it will outlive the binary posts) and repost it with a different subject.
if you want to post several pictures in one message - uncheck 'new message per attachment', otherwise it makes sense to keep it checked.

What does the "delete article" mean in the context menu of the posted messages section?
Say if I right-click a message I posted, and select "delete article"?
Does that just delete the article in Newspro or also on the server?
I'm confused because I posted a small mp3 in yEnc and it posted multiples of the same part with differing line lengths.
Looked a right mess!

It just deletes it within Newspro. I have used that section to change parameters and set up a repost. You can/should practice posting in alt.binaries.test.

I've tried the test posting.
Can you explain how you set up a repost so it doesn't make more of a mess?
Thanks.

I am not sure that we know enough about the problem you are having. Have you looked here
http://www.netwu.com/newspro/posting.htm? Are you posting 1 binary file or multiple binary files?

I'm posting one binary file.
I noticed that when I open up "posted messages" the attachment and line lengths do not appear. If I right-click the file, and select "post article" and then "post selected parts" then "all parts" an error comes back saying "No parts have bodies".
I did read that page you mentioned cursorily last night.
What I find interesting is that I don't know how many parts a specific file I post will have when posted. I can see the upload going in the task manager, but there is no prior warning before posting.
I tried uue and yenc, what a difference in size. But when I posted to Giganews the file posted in yenc came in 8 parts and there were at least two part ones, etc. all of differing line lengths. weird.
I don't know if it is giganews or my posting. I tested a file on easynews.test and that went fine in uue and yenc.
I just don't want to go making a mess of a file that nobody can join or use because of the parts and line lengths.
If you are curious, the file was a Winston Churchill speech in alt.binaries.sound.radio.oldtime
Thanks.

I see the mp3 posted there on sep. 9 03:30 and sep. 9 07:30. The 03:30 post looks like line length of 5060 or so for the parts, they look like they got posted more than once, and because of circumstances will get out of order. The 07:30 post looks like line length of 3040 or so, posted more than once, etc. The last part will almost allways be smaller than the rest. I didn't try to download them as had something else going on, but if the people use a reader like Newspro that will combine them into one line, it shouldn't be a problem. Whenever, I think my posts might be bad, I go ahead and download a couple of them myself to check if there is a problem. The line length that you specify in the post tab of properties is what will be used when you post, or you can click properties the bottom of the posting window to get there. I am not sure why the parts look like they got posted more than once.
