Yes! That did the trick. My provider goes back 5000+ days.
Thanks!

Incomplete search results
If I do a simple search for the string: >The goon cbr<, without any filters, I get very few results. A similar search on NZB King (https://www.nzbking.com/?q=%22the+goon% ... r=&po=&so=) results in many, many more hits. Is the indexing still incomplete?
Cheers.
Cheers.

Reading mbox files
Greetings, I have a bunch of old mbox files containing messages from usenet groups, plain text. Not sure how they were created. One small (zipped) such file is attached. Can I import them in usenet explorer so I can read them? I tried the "Import only" menu item from "Import" but...

Search failed (5) Too many users
Is this due to a DoS attack or is there a limit to the number of users? First time I've seen it.

Search failed (4)
Is there a problem with the search service? Since yesterday most searches (90%) fail with search failed (4) or, sometimes, (3). Some searches go though, but rarely.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Giganews and SSL (again)
Hi, All of a sudden I cannot connect to giganews with SSL. In the past when I ran into the same problem it was my antivirus (Avast!). Since then I have switched to Microsoft Security Essentials. Turning off the real-time protection doesn't help. I couldn't find any setting to stop filtering for nntp...

Re: SSL errors with Giganews
OK, to answer my own question in case anyone else runs into the same problem. It WAS Avast. They must have changed something in the latest update. To fix it, I went to "Mail Shield -> Expert Settings" and unchecked "Scan newsgroup messages (NNTP)". For some reason I had to reboot...

SSL errors with Giganews
Is anyone else having SSL problems with Giganews? Everything was working fine but suddendly I can't retrieve headers. I get: ssl connect error I've tried ports 443 and 563 but no luck. Regular traffic through port 119 is flowing fine. I use Avast! and disabled it but didn't make any difference. No o...
