Usually when I want to search for the most recent stuff I just put 0-1 in the search engine, but was wondering if there is a way to narrow it down further. I tried putting 0, but that doesn't work - it says you can use dates but what format? is there a number you can enter that would bring up items ...

I shut down UE and rebooted and now it works fine. I'd still like to figure out what went wrong, but it's working now so I won't worry.

Let me clarify. My internet connection is up, i can download files with another newsreader I used to use, I can search okay. But anytime I try to download anything I get those little red circles. can anyone give me any clue as to what might be wrong and what I can do about it?

Yes, i searched eureka*xvid and slayers*revolution and then tried to download files. I also tried a few other random searches. Whatever the glitch was, its gone now.
