Oops.. I noticed that the subject of my post got garbled. Ok, the two commands in question are:
a) Delete headers&replies
b) Delete threads
These two commands seem to do the same thing. I was wondering if there is a difference.

NewsPro dialog in UE behavior
Alex, the NewsPro dialog that you added to UE (thanks for that!) does not behave the same way as in NewsPro when you are creating a folder that already exists. Is it possible to fix that?

Compact binary is best for binary groups where you will be mostly downloading files and maybe read/reply here and there. *Especially* for very large binary groups, compact binary is a *must*. Other types are better for mainly text/discussion groups where the most you expect to do is to post/read/rep...

Marking articles as "Flagged" question
I was just curious: how do you use the "Flagged" flag in UE? I don't mean the mechanics of how to do it--i mean how do you incorporate it in your workflow. Do you flag something that you are not sure you want and want to consider it later (say, if you are undecided?) How and where (and why...

No scrolling when deleting
Ok, let's see how I can describe this: When you delete, say, 300 articles and they disappear from the list, the whole listing scrolls down, so the user has to scrool up again to find the place he/she was. This happens to me all the time, because I tend to delete and "clean up" my groups. I...

I think this is a great idea. Very time-saving and click-saving feature. Viewing NFOs is something that a Usenet user does all the time. I mean all the time. The easier this becomes, the better it is. If an article just contains an .nfo file, and the user double-clicks to open the article, then he h...

Yup. It's fixed. I've been trying it for a little while now and it seems to be gone. You squashed it :) You know, I am not a programmer, but for some reason I thought it might be a thread synchronization issue perhaps? Is that what you mean by synchronization? On another note, Alex is it possible to...

Yes, it's pretty fast indeed now that I tried it. Alex, one question, though. It's not clear to me if the global view opens ALL the headers from ALL newsgroups, or just from the ones that are loaded? I would suspect that it opens them all, otherwise I may have queued articles that are from a newsgro...

Aha.. global view.. ok. If it is like NP then yes, a global view will work. I still think though that it's a bit cumbersome. It's almost like creating an duplicate (reduntant?) view of the queue just so that you can do some things to it, like filtering or sorting. I am also almost certain that most ...

Queue (Pending articles) questions
Is there any way to filter (search) the queue in UE? I just needed to do this now, and I can't figure out how to do it (or if it can be done). I really really liked the ability to filter the queue in NewsPro (in the Pending Tasks window). Also I notice that in UE the queue is not like all other arti...
