Currently using 2 servers to download headers
UE seems to top out @ 15 connections total?
I have these settings
Both servers are NGroups.net
1 is SSL the other is standard NNTP
In the task tab > Total Tasks = 50, Max Tasks = 24, Max Groups = 24, Max Articles = 24,
Relative Chance to Run > Headers= MAX
In the Servers Tab > Max Task = 12
Preferences = Highest “Strictâ€
Header Download # of tasks issue
maybe you missed for the same server UE can launch only one task per newsgroup, it cannot download several header ranges for the same newsgroup and server simultaneously.
if connection is saturated it doesn't really matter, also would be more difficult to keep track of interrupted tasks, right now if task is interrupted due to program exit of server dropping connection UE will remember the last header downloaded and will resume from that point.
