Thanks, Alex. I was searching for "toolbar" to find that earlier discussion because I was having the same problem of the toolbars being cut off. it looked as if I was getting all the posts on the forum as a result.

To solve the problem, I increased my resolution again, same as I did that time, and now I can see the whole toolbar. But everything is getting _very_ small.

It looks as if the window is set to a Wide aspect ratio by default. Is that by choice? Some of us still do prefer the 4:3 ratio. Proof of that is that I just sunk a huge amount of money into a NEC MultiSync 4:3.

with the toolbar no problem, you can remove buttons (right mouse button on toolbar -> customize) or see cut off buttons by pressing the downward arrow at the right end of the toolbar, you can also create a new toolbar (but if it contains more than just a button the additional functionality may be not available).

as to search service / quick filter bars - they currently cannot be resized.

if you see subject/author it should be enough.

for search service bar press enter to search esc to cancel while the focus is in the bar.

for the quick filter bar press enter to apply the filter and esc to cancel while the focus is in the bar.

thus the buttons are covered, otherwise what is to the right of subject author is not frequently needed.
