Unable to download any version

The links on the download page apear to be broken. I have tried Chrome, IE, Firefox and two different systems.

No error is displayed, but no files are downloaded.

Correct.

Even clicking the older versions along the bottom results in no downloads.

Same here. Can't download any version...looking for another newsgroup client because my old version of usenet explorer (2.0) hasn't been downloading all headers from giganews. But I really like the advanced filtering capabilities of UE.

This is coming from a newbie so is worth about as much.

Check your filters. I just pulled that trick and was receiving nothing from anybody.

Properties -> Newsgroups -> Headers per Server (Range)

is what did me in.

I've restored the files, a hosting problem.

Normally both the website and search service are monitored constantly, I wasn't at home and someone switched off the speaker button.
