I currently travel a lot and as such have put my installation of Newspro onto my laptop. This works fine, but when I get home I wish to use the destop PC for Newspro.

When I copy the database from my laptop back to the desktop machine, I keep all the newsgroups/servers etc. but the headers and bodies all disappear.

This is a slight annoyance, as I then have to download all the headers again.

Is there a way of moving the databases and keeping this information?

Thanks

It should be fine if you copy the complete database (i.e. the whole "cache" directory), preserving the directory structure and drive letter.

I'm haven't test it myself though...

if you copy everything - all is needed is the 'Data' directory all should be there, just ensure that the database is selected (file menu->switch database points out to the newspro database directory which is the superdirectory of the newspro database 'Data' directory)

- newspro database directory
|- Data (all what is needed)
|- Copy
|- Temp
