I tried this.
nntp1.usenetserver.com I set message-id direct and not to download headers (so I saw +NH). with nntp2.usenetserver.com i did not.
But still Newspro downloads headers from nntp1. Does this mean that nntp1 is not another server?
i think i posted this on another thread. But, aside from the connection issues they had recently, you can squeeze out 12 connections from usenetserver:
I was told this by their support team when I emailed them concerning their lowered number of connections from 6 to 4 during their server issues.
And just out of curiosity, I did an nslookup of the ip range of 241-255. Here's what resolves. I haven't tried to connect to any of them with my credentials (interesting how nslookup and ping return different results):
