Can't download incomplets
Hi,Just joined ! Having probs getting incompletes, all files with questin marks will not download,been into properties and unchecked detect yenc errors and into watch/kill and checked save but no joy , can anyone help please!!
if you see random files getting yenc errors and it is most likely something on your side, firewalls (like zone alarm) and some other third part programs which hooked to winsock were to blame for downloaded file corruptions in the past.
if it happened only with one usenet post (even consisting of many files) it may be a problem with posting computer, so the corruption was present in the post from the outset.
to save such articles just invoke "save attachments" e.g. from the error pane, but usually it won't help much. you can also disabled yenc errors in edit menu->properties->articles (but again no sense to download systematically corrupted files, it is unlikely par2 will help unless it is a single error, but tcp protocol is reliable so the reason for errors is somewhere else than during downloading when all is functioning properly).
