Hi Guys,
Its been a long time since I visited the forums. UE has been working flawlessly for me and has been a true workhorse. I have been very busy as of late and have not been able to spend as much time as I would like on the newsgroups. Which leads me to my problem.
Normally when I download a collection I choose the collection and hit Ctrl-D . Tell it where I desire it to be saved and then go on to the next one. However when I do that. If you open the collection the par files are not selected to be downloaded.
I am sure it is just a setting somewhere but I can't seem to locate it.
When I choose a collection to be downloaded I want everything to be downloaded now including all par files. I can delete them later which is faster than having to search for the missing par files later.
I am not concerned with hard drive space as I have 2 TB free on this system.
Thanks for any help.
and as always
Alex.. freaking awesome program

Life without Music would be a Mistake!
The menu for automatically selecting pars is Tasks->Mark limited volume of par2 files for download. Below that is the setting for the volume of pars you require (I think the default is 15MB). Make sure the first setting is enabled and that the second isn't set to 0MB.
Occasionally you will find that UE cannot determine that a par set belongs to a particular post even though it appears to be related, as humans can better see instantly whereas UE uses a comparison method to figure out related articles. Is this happening with one particular post or are you having this problem with every post?

To turn off auto marking pars just select Tasks->Mark limited volume of par2 files for download.
Another way would be to leave that setting enabled but to select Tasks->Mark par2 files for download as paused. Then you can mark any collections you want to download knowing all pars will be paused, saving bandwidth. You can then check in the Articles tab of Task Manager to see if they are the correct pars and right-click->unpause them if you want them to download.
If UE can't distinguish which pars are for a particular collection, download the files and then either open the group again and find the pars manually or do a quick search through UE using something fairly unique in the subject, author, etc. to fix a broken download.
