Setting up headers window

I am embarresed that I have not been able to figure this one out.

When I open a news group in the headers windows there are several fields listed:

Subject
Author
Date
Lines
Etc.

All I want however is just the

Subject
Date
lines fields to appear.

Under options there is a pane called "Articles" which shows a a panel called "Shown Fields"

I deleted from that panel everything I did not want and applied. Nothing changed. Shut down and restarted newspro, nothing changed.

Can anyone point me in the right direction.

the header fields you are mentioning are for article views, so when you are looking at article bodies on the top it will show headers according with what is set.

as to header columns you just resize them with the mouse, put mouse cursor on the column divider, press the left mouse button and drag it until the column disappears, when you arranged one view - invoke windows menu->set the same column order for all newsgroups (the option sounds like that).
