Show Search Group (XPAT) Dialog

One of the features I loved most about NP was the XPAT search function.
When adding a new newsgroup with the # sign in its name, like #1, you could activate the Show Search Group (XPAT) Dialog option.
I tried this in UE but it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? Any options

When you create the group in the dropdown specify the groups as a "search" group.

Then right click the group and I believe there's an option to show XPAT dialog.
Set the groups and the search string wildmat just like in NP.
