Autocreate folder improvement idea

Post by jd »

Hi,
great program, keeps getting better and better!

I have one suggestion, I have no idea if this is too hard to implement. Right now I simply download by hitting Alt+S, Alt+D. Works very, very well. However, there might be room for improvement. There are many posts that start with something like 'foobar.productions.present.' then the "real" name of the post in question.
It would be great to specify a list somewhere that 'foobar.productions.present.' should not be used to create a new folder name. So a post called 'foobar.productions.present.david.hasselhoffs.greatest.hits' would get a folder name called 'david.hasselhoffs.greatest.hits'.
A textfile with the phrases in question would be ideal to keep it simple.

I hope that was clear enough?

You're talking about some sort of filter, right?

Maybe:

alt-SD

?

so not first alt-S then alt-D

But first press alt, then s and d.

should be easy because at my keyboard they neighbour each other.

Yep. I'm looking for a way to use filters for the autocreate folder feature. The logic is already in the program, you can do all kinds of stuff already for groups. Maybe it would be possible to do this.

Auto Create

Post by MageMaster »

Seems to me it would be nice that UE would recognize sets of files and auto create the folder based on that instead of the "active" article..

I usually import what I want to d/l from an nzb.. select each set then eather save to a folder, or do the auto thing depending on my mood.., but if i just select everything and auto.. everything goes to the same folder.. :( then i have to sort it from there..
