Missing a kill filter

Post by NoNo »

Hi there,
I was wondering if it will make any sense to have the choice of putting a kill filter on the "Import group" ?

Maybe not, basically it means you, fully aware, import nzb or search results and they won't appear in the view.

Yeah I get the point but sometimes when using auto-nzb/download/save or just downloading from search results in collection mode,
I end up with stuff that usually are caught up by regular kill filters in the subscribed groups.
Anyway it was worth to ask.

But you can set initial filter which will hide messages like a kill filter.

Say if kill filters in properties->kill filters are k1 k2 k3 you can define import group initial filter ^k1&^k2&^k3 in properties->newsgroups, then it will have the same effect on the view, the only difference headers will be hidden and not marked as deleted or purged, by pressing the initial filter button on the toolbar you'll be able to see them as well.

Yeah I guess I'll go this way,
thou I need to rework some already in place filters since working with collections,
one need to use the "show only files maching filter in collections" to hide unwanted headers.
Thanks for the help.
