MSG-Id and XPat

Guys/Girls,
I have setup NP in such a way that a XPat is performed on server 1 and the articles should be downloaded from server 2 by MsgId. However, I get an 'article not found' error on server 2. When I download the complete headerlist of server 2 I see the articles and I am able to donwload them.
Should I contact my news-provider, or is it a NP setting/issue?
many thanks!

Might server 2 be a Usenet.com server?
In that case the problem lies with that server. As far as I understand, they internally change the Message ID's.

Ultrafeed.... yep according to their website it's a usenet server.
So there's nothing I can do then, accept wait for XPat on server2? (According to the admin they're going to support XPat in March this year)
--edit--
correction: I've not read the website to detailed and it seems I misinterpretated the information. I'm not sure anymore whether this is a redirection to a usenet.com server. I'll ask that via mail.

erstand you correctly, alex made a fix for usenetservers. Just put a double ## AND the name of the group in where to search for. This works
so if you want an xpat search in alt.test
create a:
##alt.test
group.
This is a fix, cause now everytime you want todo a xpat on usenetserver, you have to create a ##groupname

hmm.. ok. That's nice to know for future pupose, since Ultrafeed doesn't support XPat yet.
But is there also a way to enable this for nbz files?
When I import such a file a newsgroup with the nam #~import is created. If I rename this to ##~import? Should that be enough to enable downloading from Ultrafeed?

if it is not xpat - as to usual groups all should work unless they disabled retrieving by message-id (looks like so).
in such a case nothing can be done because to get local article numbers on the server you have to download the headers from it.
why they run such broken implementations - i have no idea.
import works more or less as xpat group so it won't work for such a server.
i think there is a choice and it is easy to find a provider who supports the nttp protocol properly.

So true, so true....
According to the admin they work without msg-ids... that was it for ultrafeed, I changed to Astraweb now... and I must say NewsPro works excellent. Both XPAT and the .nbz files!!
/me happy
Tnx for all your help guys
