Been using UE for years without an issue. Suddenly I am getting the message
"cannot find server or DNS error" when I try to get anything, headers, News Groups, etc.
I turned of firewalls, virus checkers, security etc with out success.
I have triple checked the servers I use, and also tried several public servers with the same result.
Internet connectivity is fine.
Alex; hope you can offer some advice.
Added: Downloaded another usenet reader. It worked fine and had no problems connecting to mu providers servers and getting headers, news groups etc.

Check you didn't accidentally enable proxy in edit menu->properties->proxies.
If it doesn't work try to add a new server with server ip instead of server name, then check if it works.
Ping news server name to see its ip.
No reason why it won't resolve DNS, maybe just proxy or firewall/antivirus interference, as to the latter try to readd UE in antivirus definitions, sometimes just turning tbem off may not work.
Did it happen right after UE upgrage or it worked for some time with the last version you were using?

Figured it out. Something got messed up in Comodo Internet Security and was block UE. Added to safe list and all is well.
