Third-party command line utilities for asynchronous unpack

v7+ is capable of running 7z command line to unpack 7z or zip files automatically.
v7.6+ has internal un7z, thus using external 7z command line for 7z files is only optional. v7.6.1+ has internal unzip support.
Optionally the program can also run unrar and 7zip (7z/zip files) command line externally.

  1. Download the needed utility using the links below or from the utility author website and extract the files.

  2. In "Edit menu->Properties->Unpack, Asynchronous unpack during save" select the relevant entry:

      7z files:
    • Select the "Un7z" entry and click "Browse".
    • In the "Select command line utility" dialog point to extracted 7za.exe to complete the setup.

    • Zip files:
    • Select the "Unzip" entry and click "Browse".
    • In the "Select command line utility" dialog point to extracted 7za.exe to complete the setup.

    • Rar files:
    • Select the "Unrar" entry, uncheck "Use internal implementation" and click "Browse".
    • In the "Select command line utility" dialog point to extracted unrar.exe to complete the setup.
