Question about the .npr files

What is the use of these files, and why do they take upto 3.7 gigs of hard drive space???

Quite simple: the NPR files are the cache files holding the articles you downloaded (undecoded). Why the used drivespace becomes so high is because you don't save your articles, or don't delete the body's that belong to the articles.
