phaustin,

did you ever find a way to keep only the last 5 days. i'm interested in doing the same type of thing. the last headers seems interesting, but trying to determine what number to relates to 5 days seems a bit troublesome.

Do you have any undeleting software so maybe the files were not actually deleted and deleting is committed later? Restarting Windows doesn't change anything from the newspro point of view. Next time check in the drive properties how much actual space is free, I think it uses the same system functio...

something i've noticed. i'll set a global filter on new messages. i'll download the bodies of some of them. if i then delete the bodies, the message disappears from my filter list. options -> general -> mark read on delete bodies is NOT checked. i would assume that just deleting the body would not c...

no matter how many times I check the check alias checkbox, everytime i restart newspro, it is alway unchecked. is there a file i can edit directly to force checking of alias'?

Mike,

The link you posted is trying to connect on port 81. I can't get to that link. If I try port 80 (normal www), it works fine. Maybe you goofed when you pasted the link?

alex, i just reset the database on my setup. in the newsgroup pane (where all the newsgroups are shown w/ [xxx] i assume the xxx is the number of messages. i have one showing now as a.b.c.i.c [2306] when i open this newsgroup up, i only see three messages. why does newspro say there are 2306 message...

alex, i'm running 3.62 of newspro and i've noticed a problem. newspro keeps tcp sessions active when no tasks are running. this is causing me grief w/ newsfeeds. when i start up newspro it trys to download some articles from the spamkiller server. these messages no longer exist on that server so it ...

i have autosave set up, but it doesn't help this when my machine totally locks. i'm running xp w/ 1 gig of ram. every once in a blue moon, the machine will totally lock up. if i happen to have newspro open downloading stuff, then i'm sol. it just happened this weekend. everything was downloaded fine...
