look within UE's console tab. It should list more information. Perhaps the Usenet server you are attempting to use doesn't permit posting?

I've seen quickpar ( the straight client, not within UE so far) fail on a restore only to work after trying to repair again. I think if using high disk IO/high CPU, it can cause this issue. (i.e. running something else demanding on the system).

if you just close and immediately reopen UE, does the connection speed increase to normal or must you wait for the connections to close? What if you reset the linksys RV082 but keep UE open?

Power outage struck due to severe weather at approximately 11:30AM GMT -5. That wouldn't be too bad as the servers do have a battery backup which lasts about 1 to 2 hours. About 10 minutes into the power outage however, the internet service stopped as well. Power and internet just came on about 5 mi...

Check "recoverable errors" under edit -> properties -> general and ensure whatever error message is returned when the net connection is lost is listed among those errors. I had to add a few for myself as well, here's my string: too*many|limit|timeout|10061|exceeded?maximum The last one I d...

I'm not sure I follow you. Can you restate the request?

Essentially you want a shortcut to different default paths?
where movies = <path to your movies location>
etc?

i use giganews as well as UNS. The only thing i have ever seen for both (which could be either a local machine or router issue) is one or two parts are hung at "connecting" for a good 20 seconds. however, i can always max out my bandwidth. i'd definitely try lowering the max connections to...

you can also use the ? character if you know the title, but aren't sure of the separating characters. i.e.: man?from?earth will match: man from earth man.from.earth man_from_earth etc also, do not put spaces around the &. the search should be man&earth. otherwise, if I'm remembering correctl...

What format is your hard drive? if it's FAT32, it can only handle a file of 4GB or less. you may need to convert your drive to NTFS to support the larger file formats. I had a usb drive that was initially formatted as FAT32 and was receiving odd errors when attempting to assemble a > 4GB iso. Conver...

The registration information as well as any custome configuration is stored in the database. if You want to move the location of the database folder, you should copy/move the original database to that new location as well.

you need to find the common element between each piece of sporge and filter based on it. I believe kill filters can be setup based on that criteria that will automatically kill anything the filter catches.

try again. internet access was temporarily unavailable due to preparations for contractor work tomorrow. While every effort will be made to maintain access for the next two days, some periodic downtime may occur.
